Mr. Floyd Macomber - Agriculture Mr. Rae Hoopes - Audio-Visual Mr. William Frank - Industrial Arts PECIAL To the students at A. C. S. are offered several elective courses in the area of practical study. The Coop Board Services enable us to have a Driver Training course with Mr. Albert Audsley as instructor. This course is always in great demand. Mr. Rae Hoopes acts as Audio- Visual coordinator for the schools in the district. Stu- dents learn the use of project- ors, recorders, and other equip- ment. The boys are ably instructed in Industrial Arts by Mr. Will- iam Frank. On a part-time basis, Mr. Henry Kline teaches Mechan- ical Drawing, and shop classes. A very active department is observed in the Agriculture course offered. Boys interest- ed in this area for their voc- ation are well prepared to make Agriculture their full time work. Both the Industrial Arts and Agriculture courses offer a major field to students at A. C. S. Row 1: Miss Mary Knopp Art Student Teacher, Mrs. Janice Lyons - Home Ec- onomics, Miss Audrey Oaks Art. Tantalizing odors and interesting fashions, lively discussions are a part of this curriculum. This is one of the areas a student may use as a major field for graduation. The suite of rooms is so de- signed that students have an opportunity to practice in var- ious areas of homemaking. was . pph, Art opens a new and exciting world to students as they become acquainted with many areas of the Fine Arts. Seeing their own works on display stimulates stu- dents to new heights of creativity and expression. Realizing and utilizing shape and design in every- day life, and creating an awareness of beauty is im- portant in the development of this curriculum. Mr. Edward Schreiber - Boys' Physical Education, Mrs. Clara Fuest, Mrs. Eleanor Kryman, Mrs. Helen Disinger, Required for all students is active participation in the physical education program at A. C. S. Two regularly sched- uled gym classes are supplemen- ted by intramurals and extra classes. Many students take part in the various sports ac- tivities offered during the year. Honor teams, trophy win- ners, best athletes are all desirable, but of even greater importance is the goal of phy- sical fitness and good sports- manship for all students.
