Mr. Robert Shadbolt discusses one of the many day to day business problems with Mr. Joseph Cardinal. Uwhenever you need something done, just ask a busy person.n This might be the motto of the members of a school board. Elected by the peo- ple of the District, these men and women work long and hard to fulfill their responsibilities to the people. Their concern is to keep in operation a school system numbering over 1600 students. Authorizing purchases, building plans, hiring teachers and other school personnel are but a few of their tasks. Always they must an- swer to the public, while earnestly attempting to provide a healthy, attractive, working school atmos- phere. Mrs. Pat Merle, Mrs. Thelma Wood, Mrs. Rita Clark Mimeographing, typing, keeping lost and found articles, and answer ing the limitless number of teacher and student questions are just a few of the daily duties performed with efficiency and interest by the Office Staff of A.C.S. All of this is in addition to their regular work as secretaries at the school. Payroll records, attendance records, and all sorts of reports keep them equally busy. They act as counsellors and are masters in public relations work. HEALTH TAFF Mrs. Valeda Joyce Mrs. Margaret Branch Mrs . Rosemary Housenger 9 . OFFICE STAFF Mrs. Genevieve Smith, Mrs. Rita Clark HOh, I don't feel wel1lF This little co ment is heard daily by the Health Staff of Attica Central School engaged in trying to keep the student body in good physical condition by curing all the aches and pains. The staff, headed by Mrs. Valeda Joyce in the High School, and Mrs. Rosemary Housenger at the Elementary School, carry out their daily chores of eye tests, ear tests, physicals for all students. Add to this the work of keeping attend- ance records for all the students. Mrs. Margaret Branch, the dental hygenist, services all the schools in the District under the Board of Co-Operative Services. Mrs. Grace Wright is in attendance at the Sheldon Elementary School u der the same arrangement.
