We speak glibly ofthe full life, the good life anddflie is what you make it. We even say facetiously that the first hundred years are the ha s . 3 In a lifetime of 15 years, David Danes accoplished no world-shattering achievements. But, wait a minute. Did not David live his strong religious beliefs with such shining light that he was an inspiration to all who knew him? Did not David play his French horn so gayly and expertly that his School Band was richer for his contribution? Did not David stacy and search in the wonders of Science, Uathemstics, latin and History to enrich his eager mind and heart? David's teachers. and friends mark his achievements 1001. With a sincere smile and a hearty Hi-there, David greeted his multitude of friends even on his most pain-filled days. His parents, his brother, his teachers, his classmates, were all people to whom he had much to give, and much he gave from his wam, exuberant, yet gentle personality. Surely, a full lite can not be measured in number of years. If we may all live up to the abundant measure of fair friendship, keen search for knowledge, truth in religious expression, and music and joy in every day's living as exemplified :Ln the fifteen years of David Dunes, we shall most certainly achieve the Good Life. lx

Lois Rhebergen. She has willingly given up her time to help make possible the publication of this yearbook. Her unfailing good humor has kept her classes very interesting. She has also helped 'to keep the morale of the Torch Staff very high during some very trying times. The members of the yearbook staff and of her various classes have all enjoyed working with her. She has been s lifesaver to us through the seemingly endless hours of cutting and pasting. We would like to wish her a lot of luck in her future years of yearbook work and teaching. 3 e
