1 l Jeni or Cl av Wafory Our class was organized in September, 1951. Under our first class president, Ken Herman, we held a successful movie benefit. While we were sophomores under president Richard Molinari, we had a dance and a bake sale. As proud upperclassmen we elected these officers: President, R. Richard Molinari, Vice- President, Kenneth Herman, Secretary, Karen Logelg Treasurer, John Gatgeng Girl Representative, Nancy Guerting and Boy Representative , 'Ihomas Bennion. Our junior play, The Night of January l6th , directed by Miss Brayer, was acclaimed as the best in years. 'Stairway to the Stars , our Junior Prom was also one of the most successful SEATED: C-lor, Molinari, Logel in years. We continued raising money for our STANDING: Heller. Bennion. Gatzen trip with regular dues, a bake sale, and a dance.. To see us through our busiest year, we chose these officers: President, Richard Molinari, Vice-President, Jane Glory Secretary, Karen Logelg Treasurer, John Gatgeng Girl Representative, Eldora Heller 5 Boy Representative, 'lhoxms Bennion. We had to do well on our magazine drive and we did. We used the new canopy for the first time at the Gancwland Ball. Our senior play, Rhearsal for Death , was again directed by Miss Breyer. We also raised money at our dance, and at a concession stand at the football and basketball games. Our class broke with tradition and decided to go to Washington on our Senior Trip. After we came home, we really 'settled dovm to the business of graduation. As we did these things, This is the last, this is the last , sounded :Ln our heads like a broken record, but we realize now that this is not only an end, but a beginning. As we leave our school to go out into the world, to face new and greater responsibilities, 1re look back with pride, satisfaction, and even nostalgia on our high school years. ADVISORS Hr. George O'Connor Mrs. Lois Rhebergen 13

I wish to address this message to the members of the graduating class of the Attica Central School and congratulate those who are completing a high school program. You deserve special credit for finishing the course that was started when you entered high school. In New York nearly one-half of the number entering high school drop out before completing the requirement for graduation. The record of this class far exceeds the average for the State and I believe they deserve recognition. It is true that all phases are constantly changing and this :ls no less true of the school life of our yotmg people. We are giving increased attention to the study of subjects, an understanding of which is required in our highly industrial country. Mathematics, sciences and languages are gaining an increasingly important position in our high school program. At the same time we are not losing sight of the importance of good English, proper spelling, legible writing and the ability to speak and express our thoughts to others. ihese are areas which need our constant attention. It is my hope that these young people will find that the courses they have studied will prepare them adequately for the various directions they will follow after graduation. 1h
