BOARD OF EDUCATION Leo A. Squires....... William J. Healy..... Walter F. Cook....... Irvin S. Domes....... Burt Disbrow......... Edward F. Ostertag... Mrs. Manetta Gramm. Dr. Alton Germain.... Mrs. Edna A. Runvik ............President .......Vice President Murlin W. Seligman ........Roland Clark ................Clerk ............Treasurer ............Secretary ....School Physician ...Attendance Officer We, the students of Attica High School, wish at this time to express our gratitude to our Board of Education. This Board is really the back bone of our school system but they get very little credit for their tireless efforts. They meet once a month to discuss all the problems which arise in running a school such as: appointment of teachers, repair of buildings, and equipment. For all the time spent in performing the above duties and many others they receive no salary, but give their time and hard work, with no thought of reward. When we, the students of Attica High School, stop to think of all the things the Board of Education does to help our education it is hard to find words to express our appreciation, other than many thanks for a job well done. 7

Our Principal Mr. Edgar A. King There seems to be a definite feeling on the part of many people that public education is not paying the dividends that they might logically expect. We can discount the protests made by those who are traditionally against everything, and those who have the proverbial “axe to grind”. However there are many sincere people who question the value of education on the basis of the product produced. namely the students who are yearly graduated from our high schools and elementary schools. So if you as students wish to reflect credit on your alma mater, each one of you will exemplify in your daily lives the highest ideals you have learned. Your parents have made sacrifices, tax payers have paid dollars, your teachers have given a part of their lives, to the end that you will be stable individuals. The measure of their return will be the lives you live. 6
