Ga CRIMSON 1967 ATTIOA HIGH SCHOOL ATTIOA, INDIANA Dedzba tion We, the Crimson staff are very proud to dedicate this yearbook to a man who has shown his kindness, unselfishness and friendliness to all faculty and student body members, a man who never fails to greet everyone with a cheery hello , a man who always does just a little more than needs to be done because of the delight he finds in making everyone happier. To show a small token of our deep indebtedness and ap- preciation, We dedicate this Crimson of l967 to you, Ralph Smart. 2 In Mem0rz'am RICHARD CARLSON STEPHEN FLETCHER In loving memory of Dick Carlson and Steve Fletcher, who left us tragically the summer of their Senior and junior year. 3 WL cb- SQ., 1 l 1 'fths lilii ng? For many, it will be the thrill of winning that all-important game, and to others, the loss of a be- loved class mate. And the awe of the juniors as they gaze upon the Prom they have worked so hard to produce, and for the Seniors, the leaving of our private little world here at A .H.S. to enter new and challenging worlds of their own. Cramming for tests, dancing the jerk , crowding onto the fan buses . . . yes, these and many more are the memories that will stay with us for the many years to come. The CRIMSON staff has attempted to catch some of these memories for you, so that you may look back . . . and remember. Table cyf Contents ACTIVITIES . . ATHLETICS . . . ORGANIZATIONS . FACULTY ...... Our School Life This year the Crimson staff attempted to cap- ture a few moments at AHS, from the sublime to the ridiculous, from sadness to joy, and even a few cartoons to give it that familiar touch, This is our school life section and we have tried to make it just that, the everyday happenings at AHS. As you can see, our school is not all workg there is a time for both fun and studying. We hope that one of these snaps pertains to you, be- cause you and those around you make our school life. I, LESLIE WOLFE, will to Barb Richey the nerve to give Paul Coffing a kiss, and also all of my old relics of a certain bomber . I, TED WOLFE, will to Mr. Basan a certain kind of license so that he can keep track of the football team on weekends, and to Mr. Andrews, a snake whip to discipline the boys so that they will get home by curfew time like I always did. I, VANNA WOLFE, will to Leslie Kimbrell and Rick Ogborne a new chauffeur for their Sunday night drives. We, the good We, the class of 1967, laugh as they class of 1967, them . We, the We, the class of 1967, class of 1967, will the class of '68 our daredevil tactics and crazy personalities so that they may get a flunk Government and Literature. will the class of '69 the courage and ability to not let the class of 1970 get the best of will the class of '70 our modesty so that their egos may deflate. will the class of '71 the best of luck because four years is a long time. 62 'x -Q Y 9 N 'N 3452 EX .N 41 - f. . . - 5' , , A e N 'xi QQ HQ un iors 1 E I FRONT ROW: Mrs. Baldwin, R. It is difficult to cram every person's life into this small book, but We have been able to capture a few moments of our lives at AHS. I sincerely hope that you will enjoy your Crimson and that each memory, Whether pertaining to you or your friends, will find a small place in your heart. I am deeply grateful to so many people for their help and reassurance in preparing this yearbook. I would like to thank Sarah Clawson, Leslie Wolfe, Car- mie Foster and many others connected with campaigns. A special thanks to Phil Peterson, Steve Hall and Henry Ray- mundo for their cooperation as photographers. Also a big thanks to Mr. Denhardt and Mr. Kozloski for helping our photographers. I wish to thank Patti Clossey, Cheryl Hard- ing, Kathy Reynolds, jannah Mather, john Myers and Ron Gremore for their fine work in helping to create our Crim- son. Ron deserves thanks for his photography skills as well. A hearty thank you is due Leslie Kimbrell for her Work as my assistant editor and to Maribeth Lefton and Sharon Stetler for their patience and time as head photog- raphers. I believe that a very special thanks is due Mr. Fred Plocher, our yearbook representative, to Mr. Lee, Mr. Kirkpatrick and Mr. Pickell for their guidance, and most of all, to my family and Mrs. Evans, our sponsor. Before I close, Ihave one final but everlasting thanks. I deeply appreciate every effort that each and every one of you at AHS has made to make this Crimson yours. Without you, there would be no school life, companionship, memor- ies or happiness. Your Editor jane Alenduff 100 M, f LQ. ,mmm A-.1 gs
