Our student council representatives were chosen, Mary Colvert and Charles Kerkhove, and Sandy Borst was elected to represent our class on the Crimson Staff. We enjoyed two class parties: one was a chicken supper and the other a topsy-turvy party. We ordered our class rings which will be deliv- ered in the fall. We, the class of 1958, sincerely wish to thank our sponsors, Mr. Sisk and Mrs. Laughlin, for their untiring effort to make our second year of high school a success. During the year we selected as our colors, mint green and charcoal, the mint green carna- tion as our flower, and our motto Today we follow, Tomorrow we lead. We are proud of the members of our class that have participated in band, glee club, basket- ball, track, and other extra-curricular activities Hem 5

The year started off by the election of the following officers: President, .Terry Neal, Vice President, Richard Daugherty, Secretary and Treasurer, Jack Linderer, Student Council Rep- resentatives, Rita Pearl and Kenneth Shepherd. We selected black and aqua as our class colors, but postponed the selection of our class flower and motto until next year. During the year we had two parties. The first was a seventeen and flat top party, which was held in the school cafeteria. The second was a dance, which was held in the rec. hall. For this party we elected a queen, Connie Willis, and a king, Ivars Sichts. We are proud of the members of our class that have participated in band, glee club, basket- ball, track, and other extra-curricular activities We wish to thank Mr. McCarty and Miss Mooy, our sponsors, for their efforts in guiding us through our first year in high school. 5
