I n Memoriam Mr. Schaaf was known for his friendship to each one of us, His in- terest in us was first apparent while he was a bus driver. Every morn ing we, whether happy or sad, entered the bus, his smile and personality made you feel that you were special. He gave you the feelingpthat you were one of his own. Then came his retirement as bus driver. We were all sad to learn that he would not be back with usg but later we found that he had taken a position as custodian. We were all happy for we knew that his personality would brighten many a day for us in the halls of old A,H.S. Mr. Schaaf loved people and people loved him. His interest in the community and school was inexhaustible. We, the students of Attica School, past and present, will always be grateful to Wayne Schaaf for his contribution to our school and his special interest in us. 4 2

-fa For Mr. Hamilton on Retirement Go now to your little home and rest, We wish your last years will be blessed With memories of happy days And folk who love your quiet ways. A little tale of you we've heard, And we believe it--every word. Far back, when you were only three Shoe lacing was a mystery. You tried and tried, but couldn't get The hang of it, then you would fret. Yoh tried in your own patient way Until the dawn of your fourth birthday. Then, feeling wise and older, you Put on your little high-topped shoe. You tried to lace it properly, To tie a bow professionally, But little fingers fumbled so You couldn't make that splendid bow: And then you said in accents drear, , 4 .- I'm not a bit smarter than I was last year! Well, you have learned to lace a shoe, And many others things to dog You've loved young things upon your farmg You've tried to keep the young from harm, And had ten children of your own Who lived and played and now are grown. And then these years in Attica School You've helped the children keep the rule, You've been custodian so kind That you'1l leave many friends behind. Go now to your little home and rest, We wish your last years will be blessedg And here's our gift we hope you'll take For comfort and old time's sake. And boys and girls and teachers too Wish happy, happy years for you! by Marie Snyder ,-,is-Q' .:-an-.,,.-u T,.-gl-QL.
