The Class of 1958 stands free from the shadow of its goal- .I .t the coveted sheepskin Achievement is ours, yet whi e 1 may be all-inclusive to some, or but a step toward more lofty goals to ' ' ' f l b r others some have still to determine its value. Four years o a o cannof be casually measured by any degree regardless of its qualifications. As we begin to unravel the threads of life gathered here, the results will, in most instances, cause the degree to assume a more ur lives. Habits have been formed or dis- appropriate place in o carded, as have associations, objectives and ideas. More signifi- cance will be given to parents, friends, teachers, and deans as each have aided in bringing about the achievement. No thinking individual will ever declare that his was an indi- vidual accomplishment, for we are living in a society of interde- pendence. Every influence has value and effectiveness, whether it be the competition in the classroom, the parental faith at home, the dedication of the deans, or the quietness of the vesper service. Each has contributed to the fruition of this effort.
