The lessons learned, the achievements gained, perhaps a few disappointments encountered, all of which help to mold mankind into a vital force, remain vivid. The class- room studies, extra-curricular activities, social functions and reh- gious life all combine to produce that principle called wisdom! that trait found to a great extent in some, to a lesser extent in others, which in its fullness is never attainable, yet is a supreme goal to strive for, a goal which often finds its awakening in the various aspects of college life. Without wisdom a man is like a ship without a pilot, destined to be lost in the intricate course of life. Wisdom has four parts, viz.: Wisdoni, the principle of doing things arightl Justice, the principle of doing things equally in public and private, Fortitude, the principle of not fleeing hardship, but meeting it, and Temper' ance, the principle of subduing desires and living moderately. Many things are ever changing, and different theories are sought for. Those who find the elements of true wisdom have gained a precious thing-a valuable asset in finding security am1dSf the uncertainties of life. -Robert N. Edwards, President
