oreword THIS BOOK . . . is a reflection of the past year at Atlantic Union College. In a sense it is a reflection of seventy-Jive years at AUC, since the school in 1956-1957 was a culmination of all preceding years-years that prepared students to proclaim the gospel of peace. This is thy kingdom come- with laughter and love fthe back-breaking kind that brings a brick in each hand and chops down treesj these are the patient people the endless procession those long-ago dead who blessed and began: and their followers who took up the trowel the spade and the song . . . this is thy kingdom come- in the hearts of men to go with small thought of the body but much for the soul shod with preparation and proclaiming the gospel of peace.
