Elegance Deminates the Atmosphere of Prom '73 The 1973 Junior-Senior 'Prom was held on April 28 with the theme Sat- urday Night at the Movies. The open- ing event was Pre-Prom, which was held at the Elk's Club from 7:30 to 8:30. Couples then attended the formal dance, which began with the Grand March at 9:05. Iuniors carried out the theme bly using scenes from academy award winning movies. Children provided music from 'Chicago' and 'Santana' un- til 12:00. Shamus, the movie, began at 1:00 a.m. allowing time for the couples to rest from dancing. After the movie, the upperclassmen proceeded to The Late, Late Show, which headlined the Golf and Countrv Club festivities. Luck was tested on bingo, black jack, and other games of chancel Door prizes were donated by various stores. Break- fast was served at 5:30 a.m., after which seniors retired for the rest of the day, and juniors retumed to the high school to tear down their Saturday Night at the Movies. X X

l Hi-Y and Y-Teens sponsored Win- ter Ball on january 13 from 8 to ll pm. The theme Candyland was developed through the gym dec- orations. Raggedy Ann and Rag- gedy Andy greeted the couples, mur- als contained pictures of candy wrap- pers, dolls, and houses, and a small gingerbread house served as the re- freshment center. Couples had their pictures taken by Mike Portz or Randy Reimer. Music was provided by the lust Usf, Sadie Hawkins Day was the theme for Twirp held on March 24. FBR provided the music. Student Coun- cil decorated the gym with hillbilly lore. During Twirp NVeek, the girls were to walk their date to class, clean their lockers, have treats for their date, and do manual work such as carry books and turn on the water fountain.
