Vi. After much time and effort was spent planning it, the 1971 junior-Senior Prom was held on a clear Saturday night. Beginning at 7:30, prom-goers started the evening by attending a pre-prom party held at the Elks Club. They then went to the -hfigh school where thery reg- istered, greeted the class officers, signed up their dance partners, and began the formal dance with a Grand March at 9:00. After viewing the decorations il- lustrating Its a Small, Small World, the couples danced to the sound of the Long Island. Refreshments were served and games were played in the junior high cafeteria. The movie, Kelly's Heroes, began at 1 a.m., allowing tired prom-goers to take a cat nap between the sounds of firing guns and threatening tanks. They then proceeded to the Atlantic Golf and Country Club at 3 a.m. and danced to the music of the Stone Soul Picnic in an Abrabian Nights atmosphere. Var- ious games were also played until the breakfast was served between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. The seniors then went home to sleep, while the juniors dis- mantled the remainder of A Small, Small World.
