E l I r When a person thinks about a high school, he thinks of a number of things. Primarily, we know, that high school is a place of learning. Our school offers English, Manual Arts, Sciences, Fine Arts, and Business: in fact, almost anything in which a student might be interested that prepares him for life in general. We welcome the Freshmen as they find themselves in a new freedom from the grade schools and home regulations while the Seniors think very seriously of college, of a career, and of military serviceg But we aren't too serious for we laugh and sing and play, too. Our cheering and screaming during the games, our laughter floating from the cafeteria during an after-game dance, the latest gossip echo- ing in the halls between classes, the shouts of the basketball boys from the gym after school, arype- writer pecking away in the Needle room, the drum ensemble practicing in the band room-- these things, too, are our school.
