ATLANTIC HIGH SCHOOL Oak Hall, Virginia Volume XXI Atlantic High has an open door that welcomes me as I arrive from the environs of Atlantic District, a unique, colorful area on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. 2 From farm, town and waterfront I travel passing on my daily jaunt quaint landmarks, historic shrines and ancient churches. A glimpse of the past — a view of the future captivates me — I emerge a part of the present searching for identity, meaning, values and maturity in an ever-changing — yet un-changing world. 3 4 Classroom doors open my mind to ideas lying dormant in books. I learn to create, explore, challenge, remember, experience, wonder, ponder, and sometimes to forget. 5 As spectator or participant I enjoy the sports scene — thrills of a close game — joy of winning — regret at losing — development of team and school spirit. I realize — each in his own way contributes. 6 The candid camera catches my many faces and moods surprise — sorrow — happiness — triumph — waiting for a happening — doing my own thing. The day ends — through the doors I pass again — taking with me memories of moments at Atlantic High. 1 t WW 8 Dedication « ' -•’{ ■ . yWii 1 ' !
