Juniors! How impressed we were with our title. This third step was the easiest one. but the longest stride. As lower upperclassmenu all we had to do was to follow the leads of such great guys as Mike and Base and we were set. It seemed hard to grasp the fact that our own classmates were the otlicers of the clubs, the stars of the varsities - the ones that others looked up to. idolized. Even the lovers of the Varsity Play were oursll Yes. Our Hearts Were Young and Cray right up until the stupendous Prom that has become. through memories, So Dear to Our Hearts. But gaiety turned into sorrow when we said goodbye to such wonderful people as Doc Allen and Miss Aten and farewell to Miss Rhodes. September 1951 and we found ourselves poised near the top of the stairs -- and the goal for which we were striving just beyond our grasp. Senior year cannot be put into words. for to each it means a different, big moment. Perhaps yours is the thrill of Seniors are dismissed, or the Thanksgiving Day victory or Pride and Prejudice and that terrific cast party. Perhaps you'll remember Everyman and caroling at Christmas or the Mikado or the elections that saw Larry and Duke take the helm to steer the Class of '52 into that port of success.
