AC Celebrates Opening of Its 86th Year The Wilson County Chamber of Com- merce sponsored Welcome Back ACC Day on August 25. Students gathered to celebrate the opening of ACC’s 86th ac- ademic year. Food, entertainment, and fun were provided as part of this annual picnic. ACC officially marked the opening of its 86th year at convocation on September 3. Dr. D. Duane Cummins, president of Higher Education of the Christian Church, was the speaker. Highlights of the con- vocation included the recognition of the trustees, four newly endowed under- graduate fellowships, and the Under- graduate Fellows. Up, up, and away!

The Bad Seed On October 7-10, Stage Script presented Maxwell Anderson’s “Bad Seed.” The play posed the question Does murder come out of heredity or the environment? The play centered around 8-year-old Rhoda Penmark who may have in- herited a tendency to murder. The individual performances of the cast members created an air of sus- pense and excitement that kept audience members riveted.
