Lift ens ACC By MARY Ffl IsiOlKil Last nigh Crouch and Atlantic C ____ scored a hit with their production of Lillian Heilman’s “The Little Foxes.” The first night audience gave the actors two enthusiastic curtain calls in thanks for a fine play. The major character of Regina Giddens was regally played by Marsha Davis. She swept across the stage with just the right amoung of hauteur and power for the audience to hate the character and admire the performance. Especially ' lei was the scene in the s, _ d ng ii auu that he WPTTgue lftosened for that reason. The Giddens’ maid Addie, played by Doris Greene, and their butler, Cal, played by Marvin Cox, seemed to grow into their parts as the play progressed. They, too, were best in the last act. Alice Nash as teen-ager Alexandra Gid- dens made her sudden maturity in the third act believable. Only appearing in the first act, Mike Pryzlakowski as Williai lutiful, the evilness of the jbardS — Regina, Benjamin, tar, and Leo — stood out in lie contrast. iere will be two more of “The Little Foxes” at Howard Chapel o the Atlantic Christian Colleg campus. C. 271193 Dear Mrs. Swindell: In an effort to cooperate with the City ol Wilson and maintain the traditionally good relations between the Atlantic Christian College student body and the City oi Wilson, our student lead- ers felt it well not to attempt to hold our annual Homecoming Parade this year. This decision was made because we were ad- vised that a current policy of the City Council was to discour- age parades of all types this year. According to one of our administrators, the city manager as well as the chief of police verbally indicated that any re- quest for a Homecoming Parade permit had a very slim chance of being approved. In the Oct. 18, 1968 edition of The Wilson Daily Times, ap- peared a front page article stat- ing that the City Council had granted a permit for the Wilson Christmas Parade on Dec. 2 as well as a Homecoming Parade b Darden High School on Oc- tober 25. After reading this article, we are quite contused as to why the college was discouraged from having its Homecoming Parade, one ol the highlights of the col- lege year. We. the undersigned, members of the college community, feel it is indeed unfortunate we were discouraged from holding our an- nual parade while others were granted the privilege. It seems that the effort of cooperation on our behalf has resulted in a sense ol disillusionment rathei than one of an even better work- ing relationship for which we had hoped. Sincerely, J. A native of Virginia Beach, Va.y he is an English major who served on the editorial staff of the 1968 Pine Knot. From experience gained on the prior year’s book he chose to work totally with black and white photographs. “In spite of the terrific costs paid out for process color in most college yearbooks, most turn out to be poor because of time limitations placed on photographers and printers,” says Koelling. He felt the character and tone of the campus could be better portrayed through the medium of black and white photographs taken under existing light conditions. The Photographer BEN CASEY, photographer for the 1969 Pine Knot, became deeply involved with the creative aspects of photography while serving as editor of the 1968 Pine Knot. No sooner had his book gone to press, he began exploring techniques used by many of today’s outstanding photographers and began developing a technique of his own. The Leica camera quickly became his favorite tool. A senior majoring in mathematics, he was born in New Bern, N.C. The entire student life section of this book was photo- graphed by Casey as well as the larger portion of the remaining sections.
