By her generous service in the fields of drama, creative writing and debate, Mrs. Holsworth has enhanced greatly the cultural opportunities af- forded the students of Atlantic Christian College and the surrounding areas. Through the superior performance of her students in competition in various parts of the country, the college has gained prominence in these fields. Her Shakespeare pro- ductions are treasured experiences. A native New Englander, Mrs. Holsworth was educated at Mt. Holyoke and at Emerson College where she received her master’s degree. She has also studied at the Yale Drama School and at Rad- cliff. Since coming to Atlantic Christian in 1947, she has served the campus through innumerable committees. By her carrying of plays to festivals across the state, her young playwrights and actors have won top honors at the Carolina Drama Festi- val at Chapel Hill and other competition. In appreciation for her tireless and cheerful efforts to bring to the students of Atlantic Chris- tian enrichment and satisfaction of achievement, the staff gratefully dedicates the nineteen sixty-two PINE KNOT to Mrs. Doris Campbell Holsworth.
