By her generous service in the fields of drama, creative writing and debate, Mrs. Holsworth has enhanced greatly the cultural opportunities af- forded the students of Atlantic Christian College and the surrounding areas. Through the superior performance of her students in competition in various parts of the country, the college has gained prominence in these fields. Her Shakespeare pro- ductions are treasured experiences. A native New Englander, Mrs. Holsworth was educated at Mt. Holyoke and at Emerson College where she received her master’s degree. She has also studied at the Yale Drama School and at Rad- cliff. Since coming to Atlantic Christian in 1947, she has served the campus through innumerable committees. By her carrying of plays to festivals across the state, her young playwrights and actors have won top honors at the Carolina Drama Festi- val at Chapel Hill and other competition. In appreciation for her tireless and cheerful efforts to bring to the students of Atlantic Chris- tian enrichment and satisfaction of achievement, the staff gratefully dedicates the nineteen sixty-two PINE KNOT to Mrs. Doris Campbell Holsworth. WENGER President Of Atlantic Christian College Atlantic Christian College stands on the threshold of a new and challenging era, having rendered service to more than 10,000 alumni and former students who have lived and learned within its walls since its founding in 1902. The trustees, the faculty and the student body salute those who join the ranks of the College’s alumni who hold positions of leadership and trust in many fields of service both in this country and abroad. Beyond this we express profound appre- ciation to all who give of their means, their time and their services to the end that the College is enabled to fulfill its important role of leadership preparation.
