Atlanti C ts faS College Pine Knot Published by the student body of Atlantic Christian College Wilson, N. C. Elizabeth Leach. Editor Piercie Stalls, Business Manager Nineteen Forty seven at ATLANTIC CHRISTIAN ing; onward, in sweet memoles. h unrelenting crescendo, the symphony of a life replete with elodic progression hastens to its finale. And a friendship that i cmrs to share, with its ‘largos’ and ‘allegros’ moves everlast- this our 1947 Pine KNO fit has been our privilege and pleasure view of this year at A. C. and to leave with you memories of the past. We wish to express our deepest appreciation to Dr. Mildred Hartsock for her faithful guidance and service. Elizabeth and Piercie. 4 The Pine Knot of 1943 was dedicated to the boys who had gone out from Atlantic Chrisian College to fight for the principles of democracy. In this, our first yearbook since the conclusion of the war, we would again remember those young men. Many have returned from the service of their country to our campus; some, having given their lives, are missed from among us. To all of the men and women whose sacrifice and suffering and courageous integrity made possible our dream of a secure and just society, we dedicate the Pine Knot of 1947. 1 Here and There ‘‘The happiest heart that ever beat W as in some humble breast That found the common daylight sweet.
