llBllRTllB1Ell5lD1DlllC1IlQD3Y ' ' ' ' ' - ef ff f ------- 'Delta Theta Thi VVAYN E SENATE DIELT.-X TH ET.-X PHI LAw FRATERNITY, second in size only to Phi Delta Phi, had its Origin in the convention held at the La Salle Hotel in Chicago on September 26, 1913, where three national fraternities, Delta Phi Delta, founded at the Cleveland Law School of Baldwin-VVallace College, Cleveland, Ohio, in 19013 Alpha Kappa Phi, Organized at Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago, Illinois, in 19025 and Theta Lambda Phi, established at Dickerson School Of Law, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 1903, met in joint session. Realizing the strength that comes from unity, these three legal fraternities wisely formulated the plan Of merging into one national fraternity. Thus Delta Theta Phi was founded. Now in its twenty-fourth year, Delta Theta Phi enjoys a position Of national prominence, having fifty-two active senates located in the leading law schools of the United States and twenty-five alumni senates. VVayne Senate enjoys the dis- tinction Of being the first senate to be installed after the amalgamation, the date Of its installation being hlarch 21, 1914. Being primarily a legal fraternity. Delta Theta Phi devotes its efforts tO the devel- opment Of high scholarship and legal learning, with the desire tO inspire within its members a high regard for the noblest qualities Of manhood.
