May you treasure the happy memories of this year in AHS. BUILDING CAFETERIA AUD GYM 4li4 ' .aim ,FL I if DEDICATIO It is with pride and devotion that we dedicate the 1952 Maroon to a woman who has won a place in the heart of every student. It was largely through her efforts that the Junior- Senior Banquet has become such a success in our school and the F. H, A. has grown into one of the most active organizations on our campus. She has been a tireless worker, a wise counselor, and a second mother to all of us. We sincerely dedicate this volume of the Maroon to MISS WOOD. QX . 7' 4-Lg, J wa,- MR . BEN H . M I95I JU IOR PLAY Mollie O'Shaughnessey P.T.A. With the continued effort and co-operation of Mr. B. H. Hudspeth, Superintendent. the P, T. A program has gone forward consistently, Although we cannot call each by name, we can utter a word of gratitude to all of those through the years who have worked so fervently to bring us to today. 1952 has established a membership record for the organization. Perhaps the biggest enterprise of the P.T, A, this year was the landscaping of the High School Campus. The Halloween Carnival, P. T. A. participation in the Community Clinic, The Mothers March for the Infantile Paralysis Fund, the Childrens Christmas program, One-act play, Student Panel Discussion, and our many fine speakers have gone far in creating interest and promoting the good fellowship which is necessary for a successful P. T, A. Our challenge is to renew our faith in the work of the past, adjust ourselves for the de- mands of today and pray for the wisdom needed to make right choices and decisions. We can only do this in co-operative effort of individuals studying and reasoning together for the common good. It isn't an easy job but no one develops fully through doing the easy things. lt's the hard task of life that makes us strong and great in the tomorrows. Mrs. Joe Graham President 5 x 'Q Sv 41 2' Q .
