The earmarks of a college - classrooms, gyms, property, equipment, and various endowments - are not the essence of a college, but only the tangible outcome of the perseverance of many people. The Dean's Office deals with some of the most complicated and perplexing problems on campus. The handling of these details requires a dedicated and versatile person such as Mrs. Dorothy A. Bartley, Secretary to the Academic Dean from l969-I98l. She not only performed her appointed tasks, but became a vital part of our campus life by befriending and advising both students and faculty.
