CafeteriaN7 The ACC Marriage M yth 1's THE MARRIAGE OF Kathy and Eddie Bowen is one of the results of ACC romance. Here they are at their reception. What is the.ACC marriage myth? The myth is that all girls come to ACC to get married. To set the record straight, this is not true. All girls do not come to ACC to get married. The fact is most girls end up getting married before they graduate or at least have one foot down the aisle. However, many will tell you they had no such intention before they came. What's so unusual anyway? ACC has some of the finest Christian men and women 18lDating and Marriage and it is only natural that many would find a life-partner on campus. Dating at ACC is more com- parable to a matCh-making game in a small town. This has some advantages and some disadvantages. Dating is also considered spending a lot of time together rather than merely going out. There is one sure thing about the subject of dating and marriage at ACC e come summer, bells will be ringing. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER! Here are just a few of the girls who have received diamonds while at ACC. RINGING THE BELL at New Head Hall is a frequent occurance. JWAI'JTT, ma IDIEM r- '3. t 1'? W I; . ,. In WISdOm 11MThe Individual A person has a chance to grow while he is at ACC, but it's really up to the individual as to how he grows and in what way. Most students find themselves very busy with class work and, church work and often times forget to take care of them- selves spiritually. Spiritual growth involves close contact with the Lord through prayer and study of His Word. It also involves living with and loving others. The Lord has been gracious in giving the students a school like ACC and they show their gratitude by taking advantage of the chance to AT WEDNESDAY NlGHT prayer meeting in the SUB, students enjoy singing some choruses. grow. Sharing Christ with Christian brothers and sisters is a wonderful way to grow. Each week, on specified nights, the men and the women from each dorm have a devotion time. Besides weekly devotions in the dorms, there are special times when the men and women join together for devotions. Zook, Philip 90 Index7137 f From The Editor 138wEditor's page I guess maybe this is the hardest thing I've done in this book, that is to say thanks. I want to express my sincere appreciation to those people who saw me through: to Mr. Warren for making it easier to be under pressure and for putting me under pressure; to Mr. McKinney for all the time he has spent in the dark dark room and for teaching me patience; to Mr. Wolfe, our representative, for being there when I needed him; to the staff for the fine work they did and-the willingness to learn; to Donna Massey, my roommate, a special thanks for living with me during some frustrating hours and to the student body who stars in this book. I will continually be grateful to Jesus Christ for giving me the desire and the strength to accomplish this task. I am thankful I had the opportunity to do this book because I grew from the ekperience. My prayer is that each of you will share with others the love of Christ wherever you go and will continue to grow as Christ did. I love you. W??? Am a .- ' m5: w a ., '19.; U? : I ?
