Thinkingethe secret of manls dignity. By thinking, we raise ourselves to the level, the image of God. He grants us the right to reason, to figure, to analyze and synthesize-and by utilizing this right we become signifi- cant. But when we use this ability, we surrender ourselves to its influence. If we are going to think, our thoughts will control us; and, if allowed to control us, they will destroy us with their corruption. But the choice is not totally a futile one. God has also given us the ability to control our thinking and consciously decide what will occupy our thoughts. Repeatedly the Scriptures tell us to think, to decide, to analyze, and to adopt a mind which will insure good thoughts. If we are to live the life set before us, we must make the effort needed to cleanse our minds and correct our thoughts. Only then can we expect to perform as our Saviour would.
