By thinking, we raise ourselves to the level, the image of God. He grants us the right to reason, to figure, to analyze and synthesize-and by utilizing this right we become signifi- cant. But when we use this ability, we surrender ourselves to its influence. If we are going to think, our thoughts will control us; and, if allowed to control us, they will destroy us with their corruption. For a very wise man once said, The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked--who can know it? 'HPW I 4;i?.v;' .m' m 7575 But the choice is not totally a futile one. God has also given us the ability to control our thinking and consciously decide what will occupy our thoughts. Repeatedly the Scriptures tell us to think, to decide, to analyze, and to adopt a mind which will insure good thoughts. If we are to live the life set before us, we must make the effort needed to cleanse our minds and correct our thoughts. Only then can we expect to perform as our Saviour would. And so our Saviour has given us a formula by which we may insure the right mentality. ttThink on these thingsf and thereby live the life of Christ. If we would have the mind in us which was in Christ Jesus, we must make con- scious efforts to school our thinking in the higher veins, in the great moral, practical, and personal attributes of life. So, as we think, let us remember, consider, and anticipate in light of the canon set before us. Let us ponder the higher truths: Of basic morality, in truth, honesty, and justice; of mants abilities, in purity, loveliness, and good report; and of man himself, his virtue and praise. Let us always remember these truths as they relate to the beginning of all Truth--to the only Wise God our Father. Whatsoever uuxw unnu uuym m. u; Administration Gary Bordelon, editor President J ames C. Redmon his twenty- -first year as president of Atlanta Christian College. He received the AB. degree from Cincinnati Bible Seminary, and the D.D. from Pacific Christian College. He has also attended Columbia Theological Seminary and the University of Georgia. Mr. Redmon and his wife, Irma, have raised three children, two of which are foreign missionaries, while the third serves as 3 Chris- tian camping co-ordinater. Mr. Redmon enjoys lapidary and golf in his spare time. His favorite scripture passage is Philippians 2:1-11. in Mr. David Akers is the Registrar for the college and coaches the girls basketball team. He received his BA. from Milligan College and attended Virginia Western Community College. Mr. Akers enjoys music, skiing, and tennis, and his favorite scripture passage is Philippians 1:21. iZi Mrs. Dorothy Bartley is Secretary to Mr. Bravard and Mr. Akers. She enjoys playing the piano and reading. Her favorite scripture passage is I Corinthians 15:58. Bi Mr. William Bravard has been with the college six years as Academic Dean. He also teaches Christian Education and is the head of the department. Mr. Bravard attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary where he obtained his A.B., B.Th., and BB. He has also received an MA. and a-Ph.D. from Indiana University. One of Mr. Bravardis favorite scripture passages is 11 Timothy 2:12. tn Miss Ramona Brown teaches piano and organ. She obtained her BS. in Music from Atlanta Christian College and did ad- ditional study at Georgia State. She has many hobbies, such as traveling, tennis, and had crafts. Qt Mrs. Doris Collins is the Dietician for ACC. She is in her second year at that position. Mrs. Collins enjoys needlework, and holds Romans 8:28 as her favorite scripture passage. t3 Miss Joy Dance is the Dean of Women. She has received her BS. from Florida State University, and her M.Ed. from Georgia State University. Miss Dance has also attended the University of South Florida and St. Petersburg Junior College. He . mas attended Atlanta Christian College, Oklahoma AGEM, Louisiana State ' Ua'nlversity, and East Tennessee State University. He received his B.A. from ' Mk11igan College, M.Div. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and H183 completed residency for his Ph.D. at Emory University. Mr. Evans famrite scripture passage is I Corinthians 10:13. 2 Mr. Eddie Grover teaches History and Theology. He has obtained an AB. from Atlanta Chris- tian College and an M.Div. Emmanuel School of Religion. He has also attfrnded East Tennessee State University, Hebrew Union Biblical and Archaelogical School, and Emory University. $ Miss Sharon Hatfield teaches Typing, Transcription, and Office Procedure. He holds a BS. from Atlanta Christian College and an M.A.R. from Emmanuel School of Religion. His hobby is golf, and his favorite scripture passage is Galatians 6:2. 00 Mr. Wye Huxford is the Freshman Counselor and teaches New Testament. He received an AB. from Atlanta Christian College and an M.Div. from Cincin- nati Christian Seminary. Mr. Huxford enjoys gardening. m Mrs. Vicki Huxford is an instructor in piano, organ, and Music Theory. She received her BS. in Music at Atlanta Chris- tian College and an M.S.M. at Cincinnati Christian Seminary. Mrs. Huxford has been married to Wye Huxford for three years. Oi Mr. Dean Jacoby teaches Music. He received a BS. and MA. from Ohio State University. Mr. Jacoby enjoys music, golf, and traveling. His favorite scripture passage is Philippians 4:8. Bi Mrs. Polly Jacoby is the ACC bookkeeper, a position which she has held for the past four and a half years. Of the fifteen members, only one had served on the ACC Council before. But inexperience did not stop these young people who knew what the student body wanted and set out to per- form it. They opened an office for student input, they rewrote the Council constitu- tion, they worked for improved student- - administration relationships, and they succeeded in instilling in many students an appreciation for responsibilities they held as club or class officers or as students in general.
