O. and the late Mrs. Maude Roberts Hathcock have meant more to Atlanta Christian Col- lege than can be expressed in words. This wonderful Christian couple have given an unselfish devotion of their time and support to our college. Mrs. Hathcock was a gracious Christian woman. Her love for beauty and desire for perfection made her one who was interested in building a better world in which to live. All Who knew her will re- member her radiant beauty and lovely spirit. Mrs. Hathcock shared with Judge Hathcock a deep interest in Atlanta Christian College. It was at her suggestion, that the Nora. Head Hathcock Dormi- tory was constructed in 1959. It is in her memory that the Roberts Memorial Men's Dormitory tpic- tured aboveh has been constructed this year. It is in recognition of their contributions that we pay this special tribute to them. The physical education program occupies a secondary position in the curric- ulum, but adds much toward mental and physical development. Basketball provides opportunity for physi- cal recreation, team competition, good sports- manship, and above all else, Christian fel- lowship. It also serves the local Christian Churches by sup- plying them the place to play basketball two nights a week in the Christian Church Bas- ketball League. This serves to acquaint the Churches with the school and also allows them to share in part that which they helped provide. 85 A.C.C. Cheerleaders Cheerleaders are important to the school and to the team in that they create and lead school spirit.
