O. and the late Mrs. Maude Roberts Hathcock have meant more to Atlanta Christian Col- lege than can be expressed in words. This wonderful Christian couple have given an unselfish devotion of their time and support to our college. Mrs. Hathcock was a gracious Christian woman. Her love for beauty and desire for perfection made her one who was interested in building a better world in which to live. All Who knew her will re- member her radiant beauty and lovely spirit. Mrs. Hathcock shared with Judge Hathcock a deep interest in Atlanta Christian College. It was at her suggestion, that the Nora. Head Hathcock Dormi- tory was constructed in 1959. It is in her memory that the Roberts Memorial Men's Dormitory tpic- tured aboveh has been constructed this year. It is in recognition of their contributions that we pay this special tribute to them. To You . . . Dr. Orval Morgan We Dedicate the 1966 Harvester Soak the Beans, Boys To... One who deserves more than this simple dedica- tion, One who is respected as a professor and valued as a friend, One who is a wise counselor and a servant of the Lord, One who is a zealous Christian and a loyal preacher of The Word, One who gives far more than is required of him, One who has contributed greatly to the advance- ment of our college, One who finds good in all of us, One who sets a Christian example for us to follow, One who guides us down the path of life, We, the graduating class of 1966, dedicate this HARVESTER to you DR. ORVAL MORGAN 2W; ewe wage 5m; 2531 DODSON DRIVE, EAST POINT, GEORGIA JAMES C. REUMON, PRESIDENT The Senior Class of 1966 Atlanta Christian College East Point, Georgia Dear Graduating Seniors: The days of your studies together are almost ended and you are ready to go out and begin your lives of service for Christ. These have been times of profit and great joy and will be remembered for many years to come. The opportunities for service are great but the adver- sary is strong. You will not have an easy time as 3 Chris:- ian leader, but you have prepared well for the task. God will furnish you additional help if you will but ask for it. The places you leave empty at graduation will soon be filled by eager new students, but you will always occupy a warm spot in our hearts. Your friend in Christ, gwacw as C. Redmon President Board of Trustees The Trustees of Atlanta Christian College have as their task the formation and supervision of every basic policy of the College, whether religious, financial, educational or material. Their actions are to be in harmony with the provisions of the charter. We are thankful for these faithful Christian men and for the cause which they represent. For the progress being made for our spiritual growth we owe these men special recognition, gratitude and tribute. James Dyer, Chairman Curt Hess, Vice Chairman L. to R. The physical education program occupies a secondary position in the curric- ulum, but adds much toward mental and physical development. Basketball provides opportunity for physi- cal recreation, team competition, good sports- manship, and above all else, Christian fel- lowship. Keeping fit physically as well as spiritually is vital in the Christian life. 8l 82 Sonny Claiborne, Forward Frank Forehand, Forward John Autry, Center Ron Exline, Guard Hal Tapp, Guard 83 Bill Keller, Forward Jerry Key, Center Gene Thompson, Guard 84 Paul Gardiner, Guard Danny Pelfrey, Forward Steve Snow, Guard Buddy Cregger, Guard Christian Church Basketball League Providing recreation facili- ties for the students is only one function of the gymna- sium. It also serves the local Christian Churches by sup- plying them the place to play basketball two nights a week in the Christian Church Bas- ketball League. This serves to acquaint the Churches with the school and also allows them to share in part that which they helped provide. 85 A.C.C. It has become an annual event on High School Day for students, under Mrs. Smithis direction, to present a play chosen by her for the occasion. She does a tremendous job with much lasting effect.
