WW HHRVESTER yeargoole oz jffanla CAridlian 60$ e N jffanla , gorgia Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only. Jame51:22 WOPJ As the years pass in review and the sands of time press heavily upon us, our memory of past events tends to grow dim. Yet, just a spark of a reminder can kindlea flame of remembrance that will warm us to the very bottom of our hearts. It is the hope of the Class of t50 that his edition of the Harvester will provide the spark in the years to come that will bring back warm memories of 1ife,love, and work at Atlanta Christian College. Turn the pages before you and see the buildings--the events--the people that made Atlanta Christian College in 1950. Look, and try to perceive that which the camera fail- ed to show as the greatest thing at ACC---the Spirit of Christ. ikytt ggglg$me jAe rediclenl ,5 25.5619? SaeaL 3A9 3'qu jn oue You are commissioned to preach the gospel of Christ. That gospel is fashioned out of -- Love -- God's love for man. . . man's love for his neighbor. Truth -- tiThy word is truth. Your life -- your ministry for Christ will succeed gloriously or fail utterly as it expresses or fails to express, in word and deed, both Love and Truth. One one hand you will see those who have blindly imagined that Love could be preached while God's word of truth is neglected. On the other hand are the bickering, quibbling multitudes who stupidly fail to realize that Truth preached without Love is the worst sort of falsehood. Avoid both pitfalls with prayer. As a student of Atlanta Christian, you were taught the Truth of Gods word by Godly men. Christian Love cannot be taughtby men. Only Christ can teach you Love. Let Him teach you Love's great lesson through the years ahead. uLittle children, love one another. o WQ??? 5?? aAerf O. Wauer ibeclica fion The graduatingclass of 1950 considers itself fortunate in having this privilege of dedicating this edition of the Harvester to our beloved friend, fellow-laborer, and brother in Christ, Robert O. Weaver. As the minister of the East Point, Georgia, Christian Church, Brother Weaver has proved that he is a loyaland capable worker in the vine- yard of the Lord. As a professor and a member of the Board of Trustees at Atlanta Christian College he has shown himself to be a true friend of our Alma Mater. As Chairman of the Board of Trustees he is showing his continued willingness to serve ACC and Christ in every way possible. We are proud to dedicate the Harvester of 1950 to one who is so good an example to those of us who are younger in the service of the King. May God continue to bless him and his labors. Situated on a spacious campus of 50 acres, seven miles from the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, Atlanta Christian College is co- educational, and offers a four-yearcourse leadingto the following degrees: A. B. tMinisteriali; B. S. tChurch Secretariali; B. M. tMusici. Notable Atlanta Christian features include: The Intensive, Honors Study-Plan. Under this plan the student is allowed to concentrate on one, instead of five, subjects at atime. Dormitory life on a large, private campus, with close faculty companionship and supe rvision. Free medical attention for students. Moderate cost of $428.00 includes board, room and tuition for an entire year. The student may reduce this to $328.00 by scholar- ship work. Creditis given for faculty-guided field work yielding invaluable practical experience in each branch of study. Greater Atlanta is perhaps the outstanding musical and cultural center of the South. Students are afforded the opportunity to hear many preachers, educators, scholars and musicians of worldwide fame. The presence in Atlanta of three universities, three colleges, and two theological seminaries offers outstanding advantages to those interested in research or graduate work. .X4clrninidfration ORVEL C.
