F.F.A. Wins High The Future Farmers of America of the 1984-85 year had a very busy and agricultural year. All their judging of meat, dairy, soil and livestock, sectionals, and Midcontinent in Champaign turned out successfully. The FFA week’s most successful and announced event was the Atkinson High School petting “zoo”. No! Not the students! Real live animals! Everything from chickens to cows to BrentMi’s dog “Blackey”, who livened up the place. There was special thanks given to the FFA for sponsoring this years Sweetheart Dance. They ended the year with the FFA Banquet. They had dinner and then gave awards to ‘honorary students’. Top: Steve Sherbeyn trying to decide whether or not to get on Kale’s steer.
