To Members Of The FJF A. At its Farmers' Appreciation Day, the FFA said thank you to local farmers for all they do A variety of agricultural activities kept the members of FFA busy throughout the year. In the fall, they harvested the corn from the 3-acre farm the FFA owns near the school. With the money from their harvest as well as the profits from the vending machines in the schoollounge and from football and basketball concession stands, the FFA was able to sponsor the Jean Dance and co-sponsor the Sweetheart Dance with the FF1A. The FFA also held its annual Farmer's Appreciation Day. Something new this year was a petting zoo, with animals ranging from a pair of Siamese cats to a horse, which the FFA arranged for the children in the elementary and middle schools. Members of the FFA also participated in many judging contests, with second-place finishes in crop-judging and power-mechanics contests. To reward everyone for their hard work, the annual FFA Banquet was held in the spring. Dan stirs the chili for the FFA initiation supper. Jim bags popcorn at an FFA concession stand. Annual Staff Puts Long Hours, It took the yearbook staff long hours and hard work to produce this masterpiece, the 1981 yearbook.
