 Survives Freshmen . . . Did you think we were dumb enough to eat down there? It took no longer than the first day of school for us freshmen to create total chaos at AHS with our noisy and disruptive behavior. While we were frequently engaged in riotous acts, we did accomplish a few praiseworthy things. For instance, we became professional napkin stuffers as we built our homecoming float, which (after some hectic last-minute changes) tied for first place in the parade. And though we tried our luck as concessioneers at football and basketball games, we only succeeded in becoming experts on burnt popcorn and weak coffee. Through all the trials and tribulations of our first year of high school life, we freshmen are living proof that survival still belongs to the fittest. Sophomores Sophomores We began our year as the do nothing sophomores, working on the Homecoming float and soon discovering that certain items such as snuff and water do not mix. Although these things slowed our progress on the float, we did share first place (unjustly we might add) with the freshmen. After hours of deliberation, we finally decided on our favorite style of class ring. Then we waited .. and waited . . and waited for our rings to arrive. The real highlight of our sophomore year was preparation for getting our driver's license. The worst part about it was putting up with Mr. Phillips' bad jokes! .....Sophomores What did you say?
