ES TOLD Under the Big Top was the theme for the 1977 Junior-Senior prom. The Prom was held Saturday, April 30th, beginning with a dinner at the Sauk Trail Inn. The dance was held at the Atkinson High School gym, with The 13th Precinct providing the music. Upon entering the gym the guests were given a balloon by a clown. Carnival stands, a tunnel of Love, and a movable carousal set off the atmosphere with the illusion of being Under the Big Top . The after-prom at the Moline Y, concluding the evenings activities, capped off a beautiful prom the Seniors of 1977 will always remember and treasure. 25 26 Merry-Go-Rounds ... Lack Of Numbers 50 PAGE MISSING MISSING PAGE I MISSING PAGE MISSING Annual Staff Works Long, Hard Hours Annual Staff had a successful year putting a good book together. Our editor, Annette Vyneman, accompanied by co-editor, Michelle Price, spent time at a yearbook camp in Normal, IL, over the summer finding new ideas to make a better book. Later in the year five girls and our advisor went to Augustana College for a day to learn how to put these ideas to work. The entire staff took part in selling ads to raise money. We split up into several groups and went to neighboring towns collecting $1,700.00. Finally, to put the whole year together, the Annual Staff collected into one book all the events and activities throughout the year as well as life in the halls and classrooms of A HS.
