Board of Education Board's Message As moderator of a seven man board elected by the people, we strive to give the best education possible to our youths with the funds available to our small district. One of our biggest rewards is the increasing number of students entering and completing college each year. We can not please all the people all of the time but hope to please the majority of the people most of the time. A special thanks to Supt. Mr. Nolan, Principal. Mr. Schehl, and the entire staff of teachers for a job well done. Principals' Message The educated man has been described by Socrates as a person who manages well the circumstances which he encounters day by day, and who possesses a judgement which is accurate in meeting occasions as they arise and rarely misses the expedient course of action. Education is more than knowledge of sciences and arts. It should be an experience whereby the student develops both book knowledge and physical abilities in conjunction with the most important item, common sense. It is the aim of the Atkinson High School staff to develop this sense in our pupils. For without the ability to know and understand people and deal with everyday problems, success for most of us will be very limited.
