The 1966 graduating class and the annual staff wish to dedicate this book to the past, present, and future. Through this dedication, we wish to express in some small way our gratitude to those who have helped us and to those who are presently guiding us so that we may reach the goals which we have set for our future. PAST Hearing the word past reminds us of the trials and sacrifices our parents have undergone for our sake. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for the love and understanding they have bestowed upon us. PRESENT Hearing the word present makes us think of the teachers and how they are helping us develop intellectually, socially, and physically. These parents and teachers to whom we have referred from the past and the present, have influenced the achieving of our future goals. FUTURE Hearing the word future makes us realize the importance of the goals we have set for ourselves. We must strive to reach these goals, keeping in mind the importance of efforts toward world peace. 3

Pat § Sal's Message Again the time of year has come when we, the editors, wish to explain the reasons for printing this 66 Tiger. During our twelve years of school together, we have been good friends. We have made many new friends and have lost many old friends; but we have always stuck together through thick and thin These people that have crossed our path, will always be remembered. Throughout our lives, we will always have friends, some of whom we will never meet. Among these are the boys in Viet Nam. You may ask why we consider these boys our friends. We do so for one main reason--they are fighting for us and for our world peace. We want to show our appreciation to these boys in their strive for democracy and liberty. Our second reason for printing this book is to capture for the future the memory of the events and happenings at A. H. S. this year. We want to show how we can stick together as a team, a class, and a school as a whole. We, Sally Floming and Pat Schaefer, the editors of the '66 Tiger, would like to thank everyone for all the help given us in making this book the best we could possibly do. We want to thank Mrs. Akulow especially for the guidance and advice she has given us throughout the year. We appreciate everything she did for us. Without her, this book wouldn't be the great success that it has been. We would like to thank Mr. Bernard for his help in taking pictures. We would like to thank the Senior Class of '66 for selling as many ads as they did. Without the money from these ads, this book wouldn't be possible. I, Pat Schaefer, would like to thank Sally for helping me do those things that I would not have been able to do alone; and I, Sally Sue Floming, wish to thank Pat for the many contributions and wonderful ideas she put forth into this book to make it the very biggest success. As the end of the year draws near, the Seniors hate to think of the one word that has been in their vocabulary for a long time. This one word seems to be good-bye . To most people, good-bye means good wishes until our next meeting. To the Seniors, good-bye means good wishes wherever you may go, and never again enlighten the halls of A. H. S. as a student. The Editors Sally Sue Floming and Pat Schaefer
