foreword The 1964-1965 school year was an age of new fads and favorites. Textured nylons, madras prints, nothing blouses, and zipper skirts were the musts in every girl's wardrobe. Flavored lipstick was also a new addition to their cosmetics. Hair styles among the girls varied from the still popular flip to the new up-dos with a false braid or two attached, and who could forget the rage of pig-tails. The dances of this year were the jerk and the freddy. Among the popular songs were Downtown . Last Kiss . Eight Days a Week . This Diamond Ring”, Mrs. Brown. You Have a Lovely Daughter , and Rhonda . Favorite television shows included the new evening soap opera, Peyton Place and the swinging Shindig . As for foods. Pepsi and Pizza remained the all around favorites. The College-cut remained the boys favorite hair-cut. White levies dominated their new fads. The 1965 TIGER, as you will soon notice, is somewhat different. We have tried to tie all the events of this year under a theme, which is our school song. We felt that our song was not only appropriate for sports, but for all the activities of the year. We hope that you will feel the same. It is our hope that each and every person who glances through the following pages will be able to relive, in some fractional part, the joys and the sorrows that filled the 1964-1965 school year. ..
