SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In the fall of l9h6, thirteen excited Kindergarteners began their school days. Their teacher was Mrs. Olson. Roll call was answered by Mary Ellen Geraldine Haerther, Judith Weyer, Joan Wood, Joyce Haerther, Whelan, Norma Gefaller, Karl Wieditz, David Kreutner, Virgil Krug, Minnard Longfield, Larry Mitchell, and Junior Steinke. Our first grade teacher was Mrs. Lewis. We gained Kathrine Hartung, Karen Roberts, Galen Glick, and Ronnie Young. We lost Joan Wood, Norma Gefaller, Judith Whelan. During the second grade We lost Karen Roberts, and Our third grade teacher was the loss of Mrs. Guetzgo We gained Ellen numbered eleven. In the fifth Galen Glick and David Kreutner, Junior Steinke, and our teacher was still Mrs. Lewis. Larry Mitchell. was Mrs. Reynolds. Our only change Weyer. Mary Ellen was our teacher as we entered fourth grade. O'Kelly, and Marilyn Readnour. Our class now grade our teacher was Mrs. McNamara. We lost Karl Wieditz who left to attend parochial school and Kathrine Hartung. We gained Arlene Knapp. As we entered sixth grade our teacher was Mrs. Edgeton. We lost Geraldine Haerther, Joyce Haerther, and Virgil Krug who left to attend parochial school and gained Phyllis Reid. Our teacher in seventh grade was Mrs. Speas. We lost Ellen O'Kelly, Phyllis Reid, and Marilyn Readnour. As we enter eighth grade, our class moved into high school. We gained Ellen O'Kelly and Jim Starns and lost Ronnie Young. Our class now numbered five. In the fall of 1955, fourteen brave freshmen entered high school, Mr. Kempf was our class sponsor. We gained Marilyn Haerther, Joyce Haerther, Geraldine Haerther, Arlene Bader, Delores Krug, Galen Glick, Virgil Krug, Robert Waterman, and Alan Behrens from parochial school and Barbara Lenius. We lost Jim Starns, and during the year we lost Joanna Ness and Barbara Lenius and gained David Kreutner. The best memory of our freshman year was initiation. Mr. Kempf was again our class sponsor in our sophomore year. We gained Jim Starns and Denny Ealy. During the year we lost Denny Ealy. In our Junior year our class sponsors were Mrs. Fischer and Miss Box. Our class stayed the same all year numbering four- teen. Our Junior Class play, nFinders Creepers,' was presented in November of 1957 and we that we held in May, 1958. planned the Junior-Senior Banquet Our class sponsors for our Senior year were Mr. Timmons, and Mrs. Fleckenstein. This year we gained Jean Bennett and lost Jim Starns. Minnard Longiield was the only member of the class to go all thirteen years to Atkins High School.
