The track team this year consisted of fifteen members coached to victory by Mr. Smith. The team participated in seven varsity meets and two fresh- man-sophomore meets. The team placed first in the meet with Havana, freshman-sophomore meet with Jacksonville, and in the quadrangular with Rochester, Ashland, and Riverton. They placed second in several other meets and seventh in the conference meet. The varsity 880 relay team got first in the conference meet and went to the Tri-Conference meet at Carlinville. The freshman-sophomore team got a second-place trophy at the New Berlin Invitational.
