Campus C I i r It s TRACK TEAM Standing—Litherland, G. Richter, Van Meter, H. Primm, H. Henrik-son, C. Hall, Ford, Hackman, Walkup, Culver, Unger, M. Grant, Mr. Kambly. Front Row—J. Rogers, E. Grant, H. Agee, Baugher, G. Johnson, Agee, McDaniels, Kenyon. A great deal of interest was shown in track this year and the boys have enjoyed a most successful season. Dual meets were held with Greenview and University High of Normal, and a triangular meet was held with Green-view and Kincaid. Athens defeated Greenview, lost at University High, and finished second in the triangular meet, in which Kincaid was winner. At the Atlanta relays Charles Hall placed second in a large field of. competition, missing out on 5 ft. 9 in. Howard Agee placed third in equally fast competition in the 100-yard dash. Henry Hackman reached the finals in the high hurdles, but did not place. At the Urbana Relays, Charles Hall tied with two other athletes for first in the high jump. This was a very noteworthy performance, since the best and largest schools of the state had representatives at this meet. In the Little Six track meet Athens won first with Greenview second and Petersburg third. At the District meet Charles Hall was the only point winner with a tie for second. This gave him the right to compete in the state finals where he tied for fourth place with a jump of five feet eleven inches.
