I In this, the beginning of a new decade, we like to look forward to the future — to the things we have to accomplish. We look forward to new beginnings. However, before there can be a future, there must be a past. This, the eve of the future seems the most fitting time to reflect upon the past. We have to remember the sad times before we can appreciate prosperity. We have to remember our youth before we can venture into the role of being old. We have to remember our fears and weaknesses before we can meet our future strong, and without doubts. When all this is accomplished, then we can move on to a new tomorrow. The graduating class of 1980, as well as the classes yet to follow, is your future. You are your future. Together you can make dreams come true.
