In addition, are the officers: the president, who is a senior, and the vice-president, a junior, who is elected in November, and who automatically becomes president in his senior year. The main purpose of the student council is to help keep the school in smoothly-working order. Congestion in the halls is partly relieved by rules made by the council, and this does a tremendous amount in promoting the order desired. The pencil-vending machine, serviced V Raupers by the council is another practical side of the council's functions. A job for the student council this year was to decide the use of any profits from the variety show. In two years the student body, directed by student council, has supported a Greek girl. She has now become self-supporting, but the council is in the process of getting another child for adoption, With the excellent sponsorshipof Dr. Bresee, may the student council in the future guide the student body as well as it has in the past.
