Seniors JAMES HANNON A quiet fellow with great musical talent. He’s persistent and always willing to help. WARREN HARDING Warren’s quiet, friendly, and persuasive manner will gain him many insurance clients. He is always willing to laugh with the crowd. MARION HASTINGS “Mamie’s” drawn out tales and winning personality make her one of our outstanding classmates. We’re sure she’ll make a typical Florence Nightengale. MARCELINE HETTIG “Jeannie’s” jokes are her greatest assets. We wish you luck in your life’s ambitions. WILLIAM HINKSON “Bill” has a sense of humor and puts it to good advantage in study hall. He especially likes short girls. RICHARD HUFF If his feet were a little bigger he’d be half way home! Dick is willing and capable of doing most anything. JEAN HUNSINGER One of our favorite people is Jean. She usually likes the same things John does. JOHN ISBELL John loves to talk and is always excitedly running for some reason or other. No matter how busy he is he always has plenty of time for Jean. ARTHUR JACKSON “Butch’s” hearty laugh is keenly missed since he’s in the Navy. We wish him good luck and bon voyage. DONALD JACKSON Don is the life of the study hall and can always laugh heartily over anything. His unscheduled outbursts are a cause of concern to his teachers and a source of merriment to his classmates. 15 f.

Seniors BETTY JANE COLWELL New but she gets her laugh in with the rest of us. We’re glad to have had her with us even this short time. PHYLLIS CORNEBY Who is more quiet than Phyllis during second-period study hall? And a blonde, too! We’re sure she’ll be a success in anything she undertakes. DONALD DAVIS Our only future doctor. “Don” should be a success with his background. ALBERTA EVANS A shy ambitious maid. Why can’t we all work hard like “Berta”? RICHARD FINN Class character and all around American boy. Dick is also our president. We know your top-sergeants will be captivated by your personality, wit and talent. LOIS FORD Rose and blue make a nice combination when it’s Lois’ cheeks and eyes. She’s been a loyal classmate always. JOHN GALLAGHER “Jack’s” athletic ability and Irish Blarney will get him a long way in this world. MARY CATHERINE HAINES There’s something about Mary Catherine that attracts friends in clusters. We are exceptionally fond of her and of her devotion to her sailor. ALBERTA HAKES An industrious girl with a quiet personality, she will be a great asset to an office. JAMES HAMMOND “Zig” is a great athlete who excels in sportsmanship. His heart is in everything he does. d 14 !

Seniors JOHN JACKSON Ever a leader, “Jack’s” brilliance will lead him far. His great aptitude for study is equaled by his outstanding athletic ability and his quiet humor. BETTY KNIFF1N Betty is always a cheerful spot in a gloomy day. She will listen to your troubles and then cheer you up with a joke. SALLY LENOX ‘‘Sal’s” quick wit makes her the life of the party of which she attends many with that certain Sophomore. Sally will be able to keep her patients in stitches. ALBERTA LEWIS Bert” has a highly infectious laugh and will always “go to bat” for you if you’re in distress. “Speed” loves to argue, but in a nice way and her good looks make her always a favorite. MARY ANNE LUCY Along with her corny jokes, pint size, and good sportsmanship we give the world one swell kid. “Shorty” will have a contented brood in her orphanage. BETTY MACAFEE Betty’s red hair is the basis for her nick name. We’re glad her temper does not coincide. IRVIN MACAFEE “Help all who ask” is his motto. Blond hair, intelligent blue eyes, add them together and they equal “Irv”. FREDERICK MARYOTT Tall silent “Fred” may some day put his knowledge of farming to a good advantage. SIDNEY MITCHELL A second Sinatra is “Sid” whose mind is always at ease. “Sid” made a great center for our football team. JOYCE MOORE The depth of understanding is reflected in Joyce’s eyes. A colorful college career is certainly in store for Joyce. -■4 16 )
