Seniors EDITH BEERS Edith’s ready sminf greets you on every corner. We all know that she wants to be a beautician and that her recently acquired devotion for the Navy comes from the “boy across the street.” JAMES BOWEN “Jim’s” trusty Ford is still off the scrap pile. He is always willing to give you a lift. Six feet of fun and laughs is our Jim. JANE BRACE Jane’s quiet reserved attitude leads you to believe that she’s docile, but we seniors who know disagree. JOHN BRENNAN His mechanical mind helps when a car has to be repaired. We’re sorry John has had some bad luck, but we hope his recovery will be swift. FANNIE BROWN Fannie’s beautiful smile and helping hand make her well-liked by teachers and students. We hope “Paca” reaches her goal in the Dramatic world. GRACE BROWN Grace’s eyes are at a distance since Rod has become a sailor. Small, attractive, she’s an asset to our class. JOHN CAHILL Defending the Irish is John’s favorite pastime. He’s new but his friendly smile attracted us all, and the Navy’s lucky to have him. STANLEY CARMAN With his good looks and smooth personality “Stan” has a way with women. Does he walk with a sailor’s gait? MARJORIE COLE With her willowy stature and joviality “Margie” is a combination of grace and charm. NATHAN COLE “Nate” has been with us for only two years. His ability on the football field and basketball court has proven Nate’s athletic aptitude. 13 ►

Advisors Ci.ass Officers V T SEEMS like such a short while ago we were freshmen worshipping the upperclassmen. Now it i' hard to believe that we are seniors. But we are seniors and we arc proud of the record which we leave behind. We have produced two successful plays, a senior evening long to be remembered, and many dances. We have contributed this yearbook so full of memories, many clean fighting athletes, and scholastic records that will be hard to beat. Although our class is quite small, totaling sixty-five, it has proven itself capable of completing any task set before it: and we feel that the boys of this class who are in the service will prove themselves in the same manner. 12 ;

Seniors BETTY JANE COLWELL New but she gets her laugh in with the rest of us. We’re glad to have had her with us even this short time. PHYLLIS CORNEBY Who is more quiet than Phyllis during second-period study hall? And a blonde, too! We’re sure she’ll be a success in anything she undertakes. DONALD DAVIS Our only future doctor. “Don” should be a success with his background. ALBERTA EVANS A shy ambitious maid. Why can’t we all work hard like “Berta”? RICHARD FINN Class character and all around American boy. Dick is also our president. We know your top-sergeants will be captivated by your personality, wit and talent. LOIS FORD Rose and blue make a nice combination when it’s Lois’ cheeks and eyes. She’s been a loyal classmate always. JOHN GALLAGHER “Jack’s” athletic ability and Irish Blarney will get him a long way in this world. MARY CATHERINE HAINES There’s something about Mary Catherine that attracts friends in clusters. We are exceptionally fond of her and of her devotion to her sailor. ALBERTA HAKES An industrious girl with a quiet personality, she will be a great asset to an office. JAMES HAMMOND “Zig” is a great athlete who excels in sportsmanship. His heart is in everything he does. d 14 !
