Junior Act iviti es September Class rings—On the third day of school the junior class selected their class rings. Fast workers, we juniors! The officers elected early in September were as follows: President...............................Gerald Hughes Vice-President..........................Kenneth Schoonover Secretary ........................Elizabeth Vandermark Treasurer...............................Janice Campbell Sergeants of Arms ......................Jack Knapp and Sylvester Swart wood October Sophomore Welcoming Dance The juniors entertained the sophomores with a welcoming dance. Music was by Field’s orchestra. Our class started selling candy under the direction of Edward Loomis. January The juniors presented their annual class play, “The Yankee King’’, January 17, Those in the cast were Ralph Hopkins, Anne Hazard, Kluine Macnfee, William Nolan. Norman Cohen, Lindslev Stevens, Donald Knouse, Doris I.owman, Joanna Pice, Janet Gowan. Earl Armstrong, Walter Kinne, June Thrasher, Rita Madison, Phyllis Lewis; Mr. Hazard was the director. March St. Patrick’s Dance—March 17, we again held a dance. Music was furnished by Field’s orchestra. The gymnasium was decorated in keeping with the occasion. Junior Minstrels—About fifty juniors participated in the Junior Minstrel given March 25. Special numbers included Charlie McCarthy and Edgar Bergen, and a Quizzical Quiz.
