I had always thought that California is like a flat dry desert. When I came here I was really impressed at all the moun- tains and hills around here. During the year I have found out many new things, like there is a thing like rain out hereg and the earthquakes, I was warned, don't happen too often. The school here proved to be much easier than the one I go in Finland. What I have really liked is the big athle- tic program, especially American foot- ball is very interesting to watch. I had never expected to find any cow- boys in the modern, urban California. During the year I came to know lots of new people, students and teachers. The first question they asked me was, How do you like California so far? I would like to tell all of you that I have really enjoyed the time here, and I would like to come back some year and see all you once again. With the combined dedication of director Carol Hinkle, and the participating students, the dancers managed to pull off three big night perfor- mances. They continued to enter- tain other audiences, as they trav- eled to other high schools and junior high schools. The M oves of the dance show varied from ballet to contemporary jazz. From the worshiping of King Zero in one dance, to a tear jerking dance of love, the performance was one of variety and high success. WJ if tai' 90-Division Sports Section Editor: Greg Bland To love a team may sound uncoach like, but that is my feeling towards this team. The many hours of practice with sweat, tears, and heartaches, brought a Winning Season to Atascadero but that is only a small part of the team accomplishment. Each individual grew with every prac- tice, until now at the end of it all there is a winning season and most impor- tant, thirty-four men. Acknowledgements-225 Today the girls wore Ditto's pants and the boys wore blue jeans and hats. We danced to the songs Stay'n Alive by the Bee Gee's and Dance, Dance, Dance by Shiek. Disco was in and great radio stations, such as, KSLY, KAFY and KZOZ supplied us with all that ecstatic music. The attractions of Happy Days on Tuesdays, and Charlie's Angels on Wednesdays, Kept us occupied on those lonely school nights. On a big night out, if no one was cruis- ing town and we could go to the movies and see The Good-Bye Girl or Sat- urday Night Fever. Today was Atascadero Creek nearly flooding over, it was rain, rain, rain, and still more rain, then a hot spring day. Today was s sunrise and a sunset. And when all the people were gone, and all the lights were out, Today was gone forever. ' . , 1 fqifxl-Tflbl: ' , sg,--' - re- v 1 5 :- -.
