We may grumble about cold showers, dislike a particular sport or declare our teachers inhuman to make us dress out on those cold, foggy days, but the fact remains that P.E. is a lot of fun and an essential part of our education. These coaches do not try to make us all great athletes. But they do seek to promote the importance of physical excercise as a prerequisite to sound health. They have taught us cooper- ation with authority and peers alike. Our daily P.E . classes serve not only as a valuable health stimulant but as a recess from sedentary academ 10 Classes . These are the people who help students find their place in the world if they are not going to college. They seek to develop those essential skills for the jobs available to high school graduates. As the student slowly learns, they are always ready to correct, encourage, or praise. To these teachers their jobs are more than a means of employment. All of us have had some science and math courses during our years of Rats! Ugh! schooling. Yet few realize the role it plays in our lives. These are the harder courses which make us think and reason things out. These are the modern courses in which there is al- ways room for exploration. Whether through a Chemistry experiment, a programmed unit in Trigonometry, or a refresher course in Arithmetic, the Science and Math department goes a long way in preparing us for College or an immediate job after high school.
