FOREIGN LANGUAGES Are of interest to many The Foreign Language Department of Astoria High School includes classes in French, German, Latin, and Spanish. All of the French and German classes are taught by Mr. MacLean, who is a new teacher at A. H. S. this year. The Latin classes are taught by Mr. Carlson, who also teaches History. Mr. Valadez instructs his students in the varied tech¬ niques of speaking a foreign language, which happens to be Spanish. 1 Mr. Don Valadez, Astoria High School Spanish teacher, teaches at A. J. H. S. also. 2 Mr. Duncan MacLean, a new teacher at A.H.S. , instructs both German and French classes. 25
