They are the experienced foremen who oversee each bit of material that goes into the making of a firm founda¬ tion in the sciences, languages, arts, and vocational subjects of the high school curriculum. Superintendent Wished Good Luck Cn nice days after hours, Mr. Thomas Wells, superintendent of all city schools, can usually be found on some quiet golf course. Although golfing is his foremost out-door love, fishing runs a close second. To occupy rainy evenings, Mr. Wells has created a workshop in his base¬ ment where he spends a great deal of his time. A boxing fan, Mr. Wells enjoys an occasional match on TV. We regret to say that after several years of service to the school board and community Mr. Wells is to leave the Astoria district. The Zephyrus takes this opportunity to wish him, on behalf of all the students, good luck. 13
