SOP OMORES Planning to graduate in '54, the sopho- more class entered Astoria High School with a mark in their favor, they were not compelled to wear the traditional green ribbons and sun-tons, They topped the upper classes in the Homecoming parade, strutting oft with first place with their train floats. The Freshman Frolic, April Showers , proved that they were not all As sophomores, they sponsored a wet. whopper Hop, Where's the Fire? They were the first sophomore class that was required to take social studies in order to graduate.
