may geniofz Ollllicefzs Steering the May Senior class through the year and doing right well was Roy Seeborg. Backing Roy up were the other officers-vice-president, Calvin Curtis, secretary, Elaine Hughes, and treasurer, Dorothy Ohler. Typical scene in the Senior Hall. Caught gaping are Laddie and Lyle Glass Histoful With a shining record behind them and we hope- as shining a record before them, the May Senior class climaxed at graduation a career which marked them as one of the peppiest classes in the history of Astoria high. As sophomores, the-y won the dues payment contest and ticket contest and as juniors they again won the dues payment honor as well as both the ticket and yell contests. ln their Senior year they honored the January Senior class at the traditional senior ball, which had as its theme winter sports. Aside from some bickering over announcements, the why and how of which caused no little controversy, the affairs of graduation went off as smoothly as could be expected-the class embarking into the wide, wide world from they high school auditorium May l5. The picnic and banquet were carried off in the traditional fashion. The selection of caps and gowns for both commencement and baccalaureate by the May Senior class seems to suggest that that style of graduation is going to become a habit around here. The vote was overwhelmingly to the affirmative, just as was the decision of last year's class. After the first obstacle, whether or no, was overcome, the class settled down and chose a royal blue outfit.
